We got back to the coach with a few Everton fan's bidding us a safe journey home but it was a good half hour before we were moving at speed again as the traffic in the area was very congested so I would recommend leaving plenty of time to get away from the ground. The reasonably priced chippys close to the ground are always a highlight but it was a shame I was still eating my chips when we conceded our first goal! Stadium Area The stadium sits alongside the A580, just northwest of Anfield Cemetery and Stanley Park. The A580 runs past the stadium and out towards the east of the city. This goal made the Everton fans go very quiet and the QPR fans louder. Also I wanted to visit the historic Goodison Parkjust out of interest. Having heard that the pubs around the ground were quite partisan and almost all home fans only, we decided to visit a few pubs in the city centre. I had never been to Goodison Park, but had heard a lot about it from friends and wanted to experience it. The second half began where we'd left off as Eriksen volleyed low past Pickford. Exit that at junction 7 and take the A580 and youll be well on your way to Goodison. It was no problem as the stewards were helpful and fairly friendly. Also the beer isn't served on draught and comes out of cans, which means the beer is warm (the bitter is awful) and works out at 3.60 a pint as cans are a bit less than a pint.
