Though the forend wasnt perfectly centered coming closer to the left side of the barrel than the right side it was stiff enough that causing it to contact the free-floated barrel was difficult and wouldnt happen under most typical use. It appears that Fierce is stretching the truth a bit on weight because mine weighs 6 pounds, 4 1/8 oz and its a short action with 24 6.5mm barrel so it should be about the lightest one they have.
